We worked with IKEA and Vornado to create a new, 115,000-SF, multi-story anchor store previously occupied by Sears at Rego Center – the most popular shopping center in Queens, NY.  

Some of the architectural and interior project challenges included an above-grade street entrance to a lower-level lobby; exposing existing infrastructure to meet IKEA brand standards; and refurbishing the existing terrazzo flooring.

The project scope included a refresh for the aging building exterior and renovating the parking garage to IKEA’s standards.
