Bruce has been at the Co-op for 4 years.  He has a BA from Columbia College (NY) and an MS from City College in “The Child and the Individualized Curriculum” and an MS from the Principals Institute at Bank Street College.  He was the director of Central Park East 2 for eight years before coming to the Co-op and taught for 25 years before that.

Shelley has been librarian at the Co-op for the past 4 years. She has a BS in education from UMass at Amherst and a masters in elementary education from Bank Street College. Before working at the Co-op, Shelley was a staff developer for Bank Street, an editor at Scholastic Inc, and a teacher at various NYC private, progressive schools.

Barbara studied business at the Dover Business College; she has previous experience working in the medical field.

Barbara has worked at the Co-op since 1997.

Judy, who has taught at MCS for 27 years, received her BA in fine arts and her masters in education from Montclair State University.

Don is in his second year of teaching at the Co-op.  He received his BA from the University of Pittsburgh.  Before coming to the Co-op, he was an English teacher in the Czech Republic and a substitute teacher in the Montclair Public Schools.

Jane has taught at MCS for 35 years. She received a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University and a master’s degree from Bank Street College.

This is Marie’s third year teaching at the Co-op. She received an MA in English (writing) and an MA in urban education from Jersey City State College.

Before coming to the Co-op, Marie spent 21 years teaching high school and college English and 9 years teaching environmental and zoological education

This is Casey’s third year at the Co-op.  She received her BA in early childhood education at the University of Cincinnati and her masters in reading education from Fordham University. 

Casey has over 20 years experience teaching nursery through fourth grade.

Elaine has taught at MCS for 21 years. She received a bachelor’s degree from Caldwell College, undertook graduate studies in education at William Paterson University, and received her masters in communication sciences and disorders from Montclair State College.

Hilary has taught at MCS for 11 years. Before that she taught for 4 years at the Playhouse Cooperative in West Orange, NJ. Hilary received her bachelors from Skidmore College and her masters from William Paterson University.

Trish has taught at MCS for 6 years. She received her bachelors from The College of The Holy Cross and her masters from Bank Street College of Education.

Over the past 31 years, Barbara has taught pre-school, music, and technology at MCS. Currently she teaches music to the early grades.

Barbara received her bachelor of fine arts from Carnegie Mellon University.

Judith has been teaching at the Co-op for the past two years. Prior to that, she taught at P. S. 377 in Brooklyn, New York for 4 years. 

Judith graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2001 with Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, and is currently completing her Masters of Science in Education at Bank Street College.

This is Debbie’s first year teaching at the Co-op. She received her BA and masters in education from Brooklyn College.  Before coming to the Co-op,
Debbie taught for eight years at Union Congregational Nursery School. Prior to that, she taught in both public and private schools in Brooklyn.

This is Debbie’s fourth year teaching at the Co-op. Debbie is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts and a former Art Director of GQ.

This is Amanda’s fourth year teaching at the Co-op.  She received her bachelors in early childhood from William Paterson University and her masters from Bank Street. Amanda taught 2nd grade for 12 years in Teaneck Public Schools before coming to the Co-op.

Suzanne has worked at MCS for 24 years. She received her bachelor of arts from Upsala College and her masters of liberal studies from Rutgers University.

Chris has worked at the Co-op for 22 years.  She received her bachelors of arts from Goddard College and her master’s degree in education from Bank Street College.

Linda has worked at MCS for 13 years.  She received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Kent State University.

Amy has worked at the Co-op for 2 years. She received her PhD in mathematics and mathematics education at the University of Arizona and an A.B. from Harvard University.

Amy is a former professor of mathematics and mathematics education at Montclair State University. She is a K-12 textbook consultant and has experience working as a mathematician in industry and government

This is Liz’s third year teaching at the Co-op.
